Healing Children Through Happiness
Every year in San Diego thousands of children are treated for life-threatening illnesses, cancers, and injuries. For those children that are required to spend an extended time as a hospital patient and their families this can be a very trying and exhausting experience. The research tells us that there is proof to the idea that the power of positive thinking and a positive environment can assist children in healing from their sicknesses/injuries. The current situation in most hospitals is that there isn't enough budget, and there isn't enough staff to make the pediatrics wards that exist friendly to children. And if children really are our most cherished commodity then we ought to be able to do something about that.
As the parents of a long term care patient, we know how hard it can be to meet the needs of a child required to have 24/7 care. Throughout San Diego County, there are a number of hospitals who have an urgent need for the supplies and the equipment to meet our childrens needs. We wanted to insure that no matter where a child is receiving their care that no child should ever feel as if they are alone in their fights.
Trevor's Toybox was created so that we could help those facilities who didn't have the means, or who weren't already being supported by local organizations and national toy drive campaigns so that we could even the playing field. With your help we are hoping to do just that.

Our Mission
To work collectively with local hospitals to insure that all children who are diagnosed with Life-Threatening illnesses or injuries requiring long-term in-patient medical care have toys and activities available to them to help pass the time and to make the children happy. In addition this will help alleviate at least one worry of the parents/families who are struggling through this life changing event.

How you can Help:
- Donate a new unwrapped toy, book, game, or indoor activity supplies
- Get together with your favorite group to put together a fundraiser for Trevor's Toybox
- Volunteer your time to a local pediatrics unit
- Do you have a special skill that would put a smile on a kids face, SHARE it
- Make a donation that allows us to continue to supply toys to local hospitals
